Crema e il suo Ginnasio

Dall'archivio del Ginnasio Racchetti di Crema una fotografia interessante della vita e della cultura locale dell'Ottocento e della prima metà del Novecento. In questa scuola si sono formati i giovani che sono poi divenuti la classe dirigente della città e del circondario. Nel libro sono illustrate le caratteristiche dell'archivio: la periodizzazione, la struttura interna, il contenuto documentario; seguono un saggio inerente alla nascita della prima scuola elementare pubblica a Crema agli inizi del '800 e un saggio che tratta le vicende della scuola dal primo dopoguerra al periodo fascista. I due saggi attingono in maniera quasi esclusiva ai documenti presenti nell'archivio. A conclusione del volume una galleria fotografica che spazia dagli inizi agli anni '80 del Novecento.

From the archives of the gymnasium Racchetti in Crema an interesting picture of the life and the local culture of 1800 and the first half of 1900. In this school the young who then became the leading class of the city and the surroundings were educated. In the book the features of the archive are shown: the internal structure, the content of documentaries; then there is an essay about the foundation of the first primary school in Crema at the beginning of 1800 and an essay that talks about the events of the school from the first post-war period to the fascist one. The two texts derive exclusively from the documents of the archive. At the end of the book there’s a gallery of pictures that goes from the beginnings to 1980s.
